Rock Grouting

Many major structures form the Metropolitan Water District’s (MWD) huge new project south and east of Los Angeles, CA. Geosystems has been involved in the East Side Dam and also in the Arrowhead East Tunnel.

On the former, Geosystems was engaged by MWD to help successfully defend against a claim from the contractor who conducted the foundation drilling and grouting. On the tunnel project, at different times, Geosystems was employed as a subconsultant to Bechtel, and directly by the Legal Department of MWD. Services on this project included:

  • Review of contractor’s detailed proposals.
  • Analysis of grouting progress and execution.
  • Commentary on several issues related to the Specification.
