An independent consultancy led by Dr. Donald A. Bruce, serving grouting, anchoring, micropiling, deep mixing, and dam & levee remediation projects for owners, contractors, and agencies worldwide.
Geosystems, L.P. is an independent consultancy specializing in specialty ground engineering — grouting, anchors, soil nails, micropiles, deep mixing, and diaphragm walls.
Founded in 1996 by Dr. Donald A. Bruce, the practice draws on nearly two decades of hands-on construction experience before it was a consultancy: almost ten years with UK specialty contractor Colcrete across the UK, Europe, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Egypt, and the Middle East, followed by ten years as Technical Director of Nicholson Construction Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Today, Geosystems serves projects worldwide — primarily as a member of Boards of Consultants, as a peer reviewer, and in litigation support — bringing an owner's-side rigor to work that is often technically contested and commercially high-stakes.
Geosystems advises across the full range of specialty ground engineering, from urban infrastructure to remote dam and mine sites.
Geosystems typically joins a project at one of four stages — each with a distinct scope, shown here in sequence.

Dr. Bruce holds degrees in Geology and Geotechnical Engineering. He spent almost ten years with UK-based specialty geotechnical contractor Colcrete, working across the UK, Europe, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Egypt, and the Middle East on grouting, anchors, soil nails, and micropiles.
He then served ten years as Technical Director of Nicholson Construction Company in Pittsburgh, covering the same disciplines plus diaphragm walls and deep mixing, before founding Geosystems, L.P. in 1996.
He is active in numerous professional societies, has taught at short courses internationally, and is the Honorary Chairman of the International Society of Micropiles, and former Chairman of the GeoInstitute's Grouting Committee and DFI's Slurry Wall Committee.
A member of the Geo-Trust Network.
